ABOUT ME

I have over 15 years experience as a photographer and I became a headshot photographer quite accidentally, but organically.

In addition to still photography, I am also a cinematographer having served as Director of Photography on numerous feature films, shorts, commercials, and music videos. Because of my cinematography work, I know a lot of actors. Inevitably, when my actor friends needed new headshots, they came to me. Soon, I was taking headshots for all of my friends!

Because of my cinematography work, I have a unique perspective as a headshot photographer, having not only been on the headshot side of the business, but I am involved in all aspects of filmmaking from casting, production, and post-production. I like working with actors and I'm confident you'll like working with me.

MY PHILOSOPHY

Headshots shouldn't be hard. It should be easy. Better yet, it should be fun! The more fun you have during our session, the more relaxed you will be. That is the recipe for a good headshot. I want to capture the real you that only comes out when you are comfortable.

I believe your headshot should represent the real you. I'm talking about when you put forth your best face when you audition. This is why I encourage women to do their own makeup. I can arrange a makeup artist for you, or you can bring your own if you have someone you trust, but I speak from experience when I say that there is nothing more frustrating than meeting an actor in a casting session and they look nothing like their headshot. So unless you have a professional doing your makeup every time you go out on an audition, just do it yourself. You'll save a little money and your headshot will look like you.

My goal for every headshot is to capture you at you best. A casting director won't say, "This is you???" with a headshot I've taken.

WHAT YOU GET

I take the digital equivalent of three rolls of film for a session with three looks. This is about 110 shots. However, this is by no means a hard and fast rule. I'll keep taking pictures until I'm sure that I've got the shot.

I'll do basic touchups for three pictures you select and you will get every photo we shot. It's only fair. You paid for them.
